However this book outdoes Osprey in terms of pure visual content – imagine an Osprey title with back to back plates and you can then see the appeal of this volume. This is now my companion whenever I am trying to work out what a soldier is wearing in a sculpture or artwork. If you are interested in late war German Army Heer uniforms, then look no further – this book provides a heavy dose of colour plates and detailed descriptions; page after page of admy.
Each item is described and shown with a numbered key on each geerman you know exactly which item is being described.

Small in page numbers at 34 pages — it is a fairly considerable amount of information which has been crammed into germwn pages. The lowest-priced, brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging where packaging is applicable.
Detailed army lists allow players to construct German armies for any theatre and any year of the armyy, including the early campaigns in Poland and France, the dusty tank war in the North African desert, the bloody battles on the Eastern Front, and the final defence of Normandy, occupied France and Germany itself.
This book makes sure you understand what this equipment was and why it was worn. Each plate contains two grenadiers illustrated with Mr Andrews usual aplomb. Thanks to Landser books for this title — this sits on my closest accessible shelf near hrenadier workbench!

With dozens of different unit types including Fallschirmjager, Waffen-SS, and the dreaded Tiger tank, players can assemble a huge variety of troops with which to battle their opponents.
There are lots of websites and books which show you replica and period items from the war — but none of them really explain much about the items apart from the physical attributes of each of them.
Brilliant artwork, concise detailed informative text cant ask for more. The explanatory text starts with a general description of the particulars of specific uniform types such as Summer, Winter, camouflage etc.
